Art and Charlie Huston

Here's a clipped portion of one of the previous images with some ink and washes added.

Oh, and I'm on to the author Charlie Huston's other (non-vampire) novel series that begins with "Caught Stealing." I wasn't sure if I'd like it as much as the others (which were GREAT) because of the lack of vampires and zombies, but so far it's quite a page-turner. If you're looking for well-written, edgy, gritty noir that'll grab hold of you for some escapism, then I highly recommend his books!

Happy weekend all!

Jim

I just discovered your blog. You have great taste in movies ["Gone, Baby, Gone], books [gotta love Charlie Huston -- I like his Hank Thompson trilogy as much as the Joe Pitt books], and I enjoy your art!

I've bookmarked you for return visits. Thanks for posting!

Hey thanks! Yeah, I just finished the first "Hank" book today and really enjoyed it! I had really enjoyed Dan Simmon's "Joe Kurtz" trilogy (the "Hard Case" etc books) and these Huston books really fill that gap and then some!

Glad you dig the art too!

Best,
Jim

Another nice pic. I like the mix of looseness and defined/controlled linework.
